Who are Fledge?
We are a company called Fledge Tuition. We offer students like you access to free online tutoring to help you to achieve your best in school.
There are lots of online tutoring companies in the UK but what makes us different is that we match you with tutors that are also qualified teachers. They are there to help you with anything you need to do your best.
Why agree to a tutor?
There is a lot of evidence to show that having a tutor really helps you achieve your best at school. This is even more true if you are finding one or more of your subjects a bit of a struggle. Lots of students find Maths or Science really hard or many struggle with English. Having a tutor can really help.
Your tutor is a qualified teacher and we only hire tutors that are really good at explaining things and answering questions in a way that’s easy to understand for you. They can help you fill any gaps in your understanding of the subject and give you help and feedback on your work. You can check out a couple of our tutor profiles here.
Why am I being offered this?
Tutoring is being offered to thousands of students like you all over the country because schools know it can really help. It doesn’t mean you are failing or there is something wrong with you.
What if I don't like my tutor?
Unlike school if you don’t think the tutor is a good fit for you then you can let us know and we can try to switch you to someone else. But we only work with tutors that get really good feedback from the students.
Will it just be me and my tutor?
Unlike school where you are often in a big class you learn either 1:1 or in a small group of up to 5 other students like you. This means your tutor will be able to get to know you better, can find out how you like to learn (or not learn), what you like or don’t like about the subject and what you are struggling with.
